Background

Carollo Engineers, a leader in water and wastewater environmental engineering, sought Kröme’s expertise in establishing a national public relations campaign. The California-based consulting firm recognized its need to position itself as a national leader on the forefront of industry technology.

Strategy

Krome developed a consistent flow of publicity to bring greater name awareness to Carollo. One PR strategy that Krome employed was to coordinate bylined article opportunities on topics germane to Carollo’s business silos. This enabled Carollo to speak on forward-looking
issues of interest to its industry and simultaneously marketed the firm’s expertise in particular fields.

Results

In the first quarter of 2006, Krome coordinated more than a dozen feature stories in top-tier industry trade publications. Many of these placements were targeted around industry events where the publication would have an even greater readership. Bylined articles by Carollo Engineers were featured as cover stories in two significant trade publications: WaterWorld and Water & Wastewater International. It is estimated that Krome’s public relations initiatives yielded more than 500,000 industry impressions.
